Trent 87

The edition of Trent 87 (we follow the standard English spelling) is the first complete edition to be published here. Trent 87 is closely related to the recently published edition of Aosta. Further connections can be drawn with Trent 92. Although the source is, unfortunately, very poorly preserved and contains errors, it is nonetheless an important one for versions of Mass settings by Dufay, Binchois and Brassart. The final section, the so-called Battre section, contains numerous unique works by the little-known composer H. Battre.
